Professor Inez Brown :
Trailblazing Lawyer, Leader, and Inspirational Speaker
Professor Inez Brown is a dynamic force in the legal and business world with over two decades of expertise in strategic consultancy, corporate governance, and championing diversity and inclusion. Her multifaceted career reflects an unwavering commitment to driving positive change across sectors such as health, education, business, housing, and law.
In 2020, she made history as the first Black President of Birmingham Law Society in its 202-year tenure. During her leadership, she expanded membership and launched a pioneering diversity inclusion scheme, offering financial scholarships and mentoring to underrepresented aspiring lawyers.
As Vice-Chancellor Professional Fellow at Aston University, she shapes inclusive educational environments and fosters diverse leadership. Her contributions earned her an honorary doctorate from Aston University in July 2023.
As Regional Chair of the Institute of Directors (IoD) Central region, Prof Brown oversees 7 Branch Chairs and over 3,000 members, promoting good governance, ethical practices, professional development, and diversity
